Hormoncoaching Dr. Judith Knöchel – Lithium-Therapie

Lithium can be found as a trace element in our drinking water, our food, and also in our bodies. Current research shows positive physiological changes both with microdoses of lithium and with high pharmacological doses. Since the biochemical mechanism of action is not yet fully understood, lithium is referred to as a “potentially essential” trace element.

Lithium used in laboratory-based nutritional therapy is associated with a positive effect on the central nervous system. It is said to counteract neurodegenerative effects and improve cognitive function, which is why it is currently also the subject of dementia research. According to study data, a lower mortality rate in comparison also correlates with an adequate or saturated lithium intake.

In my practice, I offer low-dose lithium therapy after prior laboratory diagnostics.
